The End of A Year - A Last Party

November 25th, 2010
As winter draws close and the temperature drops, we are going to pack up our bags and hibernate for a little while.
After 20 months of hard work and a lot of great art shows, we will close ufo Gallery in Graham Street in its current form at the 15th of December 2010.
This will not be the end of ufo Gallery for good, but will give us some time to think about some future projects and how to continue running the gallery in an even better way. We will also be looking into possible new locations in 2011, which will hopefully provide more space for what we want to do.
To thank all of our artists, customers, art lovers and supporters during this time, we will have a last pre-closing party, with a sale of up to 40% on our art pieces.
For all remaining art pieces after the show, we will offer private viewings in another location, which will be by appointment only.
Save the date:
Thursday, December 9th, 2010
6:00pm to 9:00pm
ufo Gallery
G/F 39 Graham Street
Central, Hong Kong
Come play with us one more time before the future begins.

JoyStick起貼 Exhibition, Opening 17th of September

September 17th, 2010
This early summer day, during dinner time, person A asked: "Any market for a sticker book?" Group B replied: "Yes, DEFINITELY!! Many sticker lovers in Hong Kong. Group C added: "Hundreds of our friends will buy it. "The story goes on, they sent a proposal to a publication company, and the reply to them was: "YES, this can work!"
Crazy people make crazy decisions. So A, B and C start to work, calling illustrators to join in, collecting artworks and designing the book. The sticker book project <JoyStick 起貼> is finished in only 3 weeks. This is how the <JoyStick 起貼> was born.
16 local creative talents, unknown people they are. They only want to share their joy of using stickers. <JoyStick 起貼> could be the first sticker book in Hong Kong. It consists of different beliefs, from culture to propaganda, from political weapons to emotional catharsis, from utopia to sex bomb. Stick wherever you want to, stick whenever you want to, just stick it! Hopefully more people would consider stickers as a new form of Art.
Then the book has been released at the 2010 Hong Kong Book Fair, the sales record is still going strong. It can be found in most book stores by now. But is it the end of <JoyStick 起貼>?
A chance from heaven then, ufo Gallery gathers all 16 talents again to have a group exhibition, having each artist bring in one piece of art. <JoyStick 起貼> is not a book itself.
The other meaning of <JoyStick 起貼> is to share happiness together.
Come On Feel The Joy!

We have to admit that SIT is one of the very fun guys to have around and we did have a pretty good time together.
