Start From Zero (SfZ)

Start From Zero" was founded by a Hong Kong local street artist - Dom. START stands for STreet ART STencil ART and STicker ART Start From Zero (SFZ) is from the streets, it is not only a name, it insists on an independent spirit. Some may not even consider it as art, SFZ started quietly on the streets, had left marks and traces over the decade, simply promote street art wholeheartedly and encourage you never give up ! Sticker is the symbol of "StART From Zero", it can be a slogan for encouraging people when they are unhappy, down or miserable. Their stickers can be found everywhere in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Apart from stickers, "StART From Zero" also good at using wheat pastes; stencils to convey their messages on streets. Asides from performing street art, "StART From Zero" releases various products, T-shirts, badges, caps and other accessories. SIT

Artist SIT has been part of the Amsterdam creative scene for many years. Doing action painting, graphic design, advertising and more - until he got fed up. He went back to square one to find his true essence. Back to head and handcraft. "9" is the fourth solo exhibition from SIT. In the eastern parts of the world 9 is a lucky number. To SIT it means new found luck. It was a strange encounter with a goldfish in Hong Kong that made him feel lucky again. more

Luca Loiudice

Luca Loiudice (b. Torino, 1984) is an Italian artist, whose work revolves around various artistic disciplines and has always as basic elements, the study of the dream dimension, the unconscious, and the research of the absurd. In his solo exhibition at ufoArtgallery, the artist presents a series of recent works and new drawings in which multitasking human beings, bizarre creatures and protean objects, are melted together in extremely surreal and dark atmospheres, built through a complex mechanism of mind and an almost obsessive attention to detail. more

Doug Bartlett

Doug Bartlett is the name given to the energy created when Nick Morris and Dave Bowers work together on the same canvas. “We open up the roller door to the garage in Torquay and let rip. With a few beers, and the music turned up, we throw ourselves into the canvases. Slabs of colour are slapped down haphazardly and images are layered on at random. A lot of this initial work won’t survive the painting process because we have a rule that says: ‘you can paint over anything, and the other one can’t protest’. Whole vistas appear and disappear. Hours of work can be swept away with one brutal sweep of a brush. ‘Doug has entered the building’ is the only explanation required. more

Nanami Cowdroy

Nanami Cowdroy was born in Sydney, Australia with close bonds to her mixed Japanese- European heritage. Growing up with such contrasting cultures and surroundings, has greatly influenced her style of art and creative expression. more

Phil Hayes

Phil Hayes has been making and exhibiting art for more than 20 years now. He has exhibited in well over 150 group shows and this exhibition in Hong Kong will be his 10th solo exhibition.
